My healing journey
My thoughts on my health journey
Sometimes it feels like I have been blessed with every medical problem under the sun. I know people have it much worse, but I also know some people are truly blessed and never needs to think about their health and limitations in their bodies until they're older.
For the longest time they explained all my problems with Rueumatoid Arthritis and Asthma. And before RA it was just "psycho-somatic". It was not until late 2025 I realized something didn't feel right with the RA diagnosis. The treatment didn't work as it should and I was injecting myself several times a week. I had hair loss, nausea and other side effects due injecting myself with methotrexate. It's the same medication that is used for cancer patients... And I was right. The RA diagnosis was wrong! Years of metoject I cannot get back!
What's wrong with the medical field
The health care system and medical field hates people assigned female at birth. We are never taken seriously... And that is a statistical fact. Especially women/afab people are also affected by fatphobia, racism and our pain is never taken seriously. Also many doctors assume we want to have children or are straight or like dicks because it has come up when I was finally getting my diagnosis for PMOS (polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome), formally called PCOS (polycystic Ovary Syndrome).
I'm 33, had pain since I was 5. This is a catastrophe. I also have autism that wasn't really discovered until I was an adult, although my ADHD was discovered in my early teen years...
I have been misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder (+ having medication for it that caused long-term damage to my body), rheumatoid arthritis (yep, wrong medication there as well!), schizophrenia, fibromyalgia... This is ridiculous how badly I was treated and I do more research myself than trusting anyone nowadays... However, I have been formally diagnosed with some things that are correct (after waiting for too long) as well...
What conditions I actually have
I'm formally diagnosed with DID (dissociative identity disorder) in 2025, after being diagnosed with OSDD (other specified dissociative disorder) as a child. I have also been diagnosed formally with Autism/ASD (autism spectrum disorder), C-PTSD (complex post-traumatic stress disorder) and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).
Regarding my physical health I'm now In the evaluation process for hEDS (hypermobile ehlers-danlos syndrome) and POTS, but they are already letting me know that they are pretty sure this is it. And like I wrote earlier I have PMOS, so I'm clinically infertile and don't get any periods at all...
